What is slap fighting?

Slap fighting is a competitive sport.

Who can participate?

Anyone is eligible for a SLHappy based on their accomplishments in the Sport. Start and cut-off dates are as follows every year. Start Date for consideration is Oct. 15th, with a cut-off date of October 14th each year. Nominees do not have to follow the platform to be nominated or win an award.

How are winners determined?

Winners are decided by judges based on performance. Several factors are involved in judging the winners of a SLHappy award, including A special commission built of loyal fans who are very knowledgeable in the sport of Slap Fighting. This is a fan based award ceremony and is not represented of funded by any slap fight promotion.

Why did I create The SLHappy Awards?

As a huge fan of the sport and podcaster covering the sport I can often be critical when I see flaws in the game, however accomplishments deserve recognition as well and how can I be critical of performances without praise for those doing it correctly? I invest about $1500 yearly of my own money to ackowledge those who stood out in this sport for various reasons that helped the sport grow. It takes balls to step up to get slapped, and I just want the fighters to know they are appreciated.

What are the SLHappy awards?

SLHappy Awards recognize top performers in the sport of Slap Fighting based on fan input and opinions.

Where is the ceremony held?

The ceremony is held online annually in December. Actual location takes place in Las Vegas, Nv

How will winners receive their trophies?

Any announced winner will have 60 days to claim their trophy via direct email or private message. Trophies will be shipped or personally handed to the recipient only.
